Hey! You're Ruby, right? Make sure Jo has a good time at the gala, ok? Maybe get her to dance--she says she doesn't dance, but who doesn't dance, really.
if a stranger from the internet said they thought you were charming enough to be possibly hiding psychotic tendencies would you take that as a compliment or an insult?
[While Ruby is out and about, she may notice the sudden sent of fresh flowers growing not far from her. (if it's night, they'll actually bloom) Not long after, Daryl himself appears and heads straight for her, looking like he had business on the mind.]
[Well, she's a young-ish lady with an active social life, so let's say she's been making her way around town this evening, at least until she's distracted by the flowers and then Daryl's arrival. She probably even looks quite pleased and is about to give him a friendly greeting before she sees the serious look on his face and frowns.]
Well i AM half carnivore so as long as its meaty im pretty much sold. And i guess my schedule is pretty clear these days since theyre not exactly expecting me to come in to work right now
[On the morning of February 14th, Ruby will find the front porch of her home adorned with a multitude of iridescent and fragrant flowers. Attached to the central arrangement is a hand written letter, the script elegant and precise...]
Ruby,
I have given much thought to our first meeting and I am ashamed of the petty behavior I exhibited, for which there is no excuse. Please allow me to offer my most heartfelt apologies, and to offer both these flowers and a promise to support your business venture in the future as tokens of my goodwill.
[ Perhaps it's a bit old-fashioned, but the message arrives for Ruby via mockingbird. Sealed closed by a wax mockingbird sigil, the letter is hand-written in careful cursive. ]
Dear, Miss Lucas -
We have not spoken before, but my name is Petyr Baelish. I serve as the ambassador for Maurtia Falls. I write to you on behalf of a project I am working on within my city. Construction has already begun on rebuilding a much larger library, but I wish for this to be more than simply a bigger structure. I hope to inspire education and the spread of knowledge to the natives of Maurtia Falls as well as provide an invaluable resource to new arrivals here. But more than that, I wish to use it to pay homage to the natives who lost their lives within Maurtia Falls due to imPort related tragedies. Their names will be honored within the library itself and donations will be set up to be made to the families.
For this project to succeed, I need your help. If you are able to donate anything at all to the cause, it would be most appreciated -- whether that is books, money, or simply your time. I plan to put programs into place once the library is finished to have imPorts come in and read to the much younger generation. I believe it would be a great way to strengthen the native and imPort bond.
I thank you for your time, and I do hope to hear back from you soon.
Sincerely, Ambassador Petyr Baelish
[ OOC: You can feel free to just respond to this OOCly if she would donate anything or not! ]
[The bird returns not long after with a reply in noticeably less skilled handwriting...]
Ambassador Baelish,
It's been a pretty long time since I last got a message by bird. Kind of a nice flashback!
Honestly, as much as I like your idea here, I don't know how much time or money I'm going to have to give to anything for the next few months. I'm actually about to start a business of my own. A small hotel and restaurant outside Nonah.
I'm thinking about making it a place to help imPorts deal with this world we've ended up in. Letting new arrivals who aren't used to this kind of "modern" place stay for a few days for free before heading into the big cities if they want, doing imPort-only weekends every so often for people overwhelmed by paparazzi and stuff, that sort of thing. I don't really know what room there is for working together there, but if you can think of something, I'd be happy to talk about it sometime.
[Okay, so she'd gotten advice to just ... send messages. Let Ruby know she's thinking about her. Ask her how her day's going. All the lame stuff she can't really make sense of, but like hell if she isn't going to at least try.]
text; a couple of days after arriving.
Thanks for the other day.
